This is honestly really disappointing from Zelensky, especially when Ukrainians have been fighting so hard for democracy and transparency. Weakening anti-corruption bodies just sends all the wrong signals, both to citizens and to the EU, when Ukraine's future depends on real reform. It's encouraging to see people take to the streets and demand better—public pressure clearly still matters, even during wartime. The quick reversal shows that leaders can't just ignore the will of the people, and that's a win for accountability. But it also proves how fragile progress can be, and why we can't take our eyes off those in power, no matter the circumstances.
