About time the EU started holding Ukraine accountable instead of just handing over billions with no strings attached. It's been obvious for a while that corruption is rampant over there, and Western taxpayers shouldn't be footing the bill for it. Maybe if Zelensky focused less on PR and more on cleaning up his own government, they wouldn't be in this mess. Hopefully, this is a wake-up call—no more blank checks without real reforms!

It’s frustrating to see aid cut when Ukraine needs support most, but real anti-corruption reforms are absolutely essential if we want European solidarity to actually improve lives instead of just propping up the same old problems.

Honestly, this is the kind of accountability we need to see with foreign aid. Just throwing money at a government without real checks or reforms is a recipe for waste and corruption, no matter how sympathetic the cause. If Ukraine wants continued support from the EU, it’s only reasonable they meet basic standards of transparency and rule of law. Aid should empower citizens, not just prop up inefficient or corrupt institutions.
