This just shows how out of touch elites like Zelensky have become—he promises to clean up corruption, then goes and undermines the very agencies meant to do that! No wonder regular Ukrainians are taking to the streets; they’re tired of politicians who say one thing to the people and do another behind closed doors. The EU and all these international organizations act like they care, but they only step in when their own interests are at stake. At the end of the day, the people need to take back control from these corrupt bureaucrats, whether in Kyiv or Brussels.

Honestly, sometimes strong leadership means making tough calls, especially in wartime—too much outside interference just weakens the country when unity is needed most. All these protests and EU complaints just distract from the real threats Ukraine is facing. Zelensky needs to focus on stability and order first, then worry about appeasing foreign critics later.

Ukraine’s identity as a nation has been built around civic values like democracy, rule of law, and fighting corruption—especially since Maidan. Zelensky trying to centralize power at the expense of independent institutions is a step backward and risks alienating Ukrainians who want a modern, European country. If Ukraine wants to join the EU and stand strong as a civic nation, it absolutely can’t compromise on transparency or accountability, even during war.

It’s honestly disappointing to see Zelensky try to gut anti-corruption agencies, especially when fighting corruption is literally at the heart of Ukraine’s democracy and ties to the EU—he should be empowering watchdogs, not weakening them.

Looks like the so-called Western “democracy” project in Ukraine is falling apart from the inside—corruption and protests everywhere, even the EU is getting tired of it. Maybe it’s time the West admits their puppet regime isn’t working and stops blaming Russia for all their problems.
