Just goes to show how pointless and toothless these government sanctions usually are—markets will always find a way around them. Instead of trying to micromanage global trade, maybe we should focus on staying out of other countries’ conflicts in the first place. Besides, trying to control what people buy and sell across borders is a losing game and just creates more bureaucracy.
