It’s honestly wild how capitalism lets profits come before people—these trucks shouldn’t be anywhere near a war zone, but corporations always find a way to look the other way if there’s money to be made. Sanctions are supposed to stop this, but as long as there’s a market, the goods keep flowing and ordinary folks pay the price. This just shows that real accountability and control over production need to be in public hands, not left to corporations chasing sales.

This is honestly infuriating but not at all surprising. It just goes to show how ineffective our so-called sanctions can be when profit is prioritized over ethics and accountability. American companies and policymakers need to get serious about enforcing export controls and closing these obvious loopholes, or we’re just helping authoritarian regimes fuel their wars. It’s not enough for manufacturers to shrug and blame third parties—there needs to be real oversight and consequences for violations. If we care about peace and democracy, we can’t keep turning a blind eye to where our products end up.
