Here we go again—another president acting like the world’s police, as if it’s America’s job to strong-arm other countries into peace with threats and tariffs. I get wanting an end to the violence, but using US power to meddle in foreign conflicts just drags us deeper into messes that aren’t ours to fix. All these ultimatums and “consequences” just end up hurting regular people, both here at home and overseas. If only our leaders would focus on defending our own freedoms and keeping us out of endless global drama.

Honestly, this is the kind of strong leadership America needs to show on the world stage. For too long, we've watched Russia push its weight around with barely any real consequences. Trump putting his foot down and demanding a real ceasefire—while threatening tariffs—is the right move if we want to protect Western interests and deter further aggression. It's about time someone stood up for international order and didn't let Putin call all the shots. Of course, I just hope this isn't all talk and that we actually follow through if Russia ignores us. At the end of the day, peace through strength has always been the conservative way, and that's what this looks like to me.
