It’s heartbreaking to see so much money and innovation poured into making better ways to fight instead of finding paths to peace. I get that Ukraine wants to defend itself, but every new weapon just keeps the cycle of violence spinning. Imagine the impact if those billions went to rebuilding lives and promoting dialogue instead.
Of course Ukraine is bragging about their “drone innovation”—they wouldn’t even have a drone industry if it wasn’t for constant handouts from the US and Europe. It’s not like they’re building this with their own resources or brains; it’s all Western money and tech. These so-called billion-dollar deals are nothing but another way for the US military-industrial complex to cash in on the conflict. No matter how many drones they produce, it won’t change the reality on the ground—Russia has the capability and experience to counter these toys. All this hype about Ukraine “reshaping modern warfare” is just PR to keep the aid flowing. In the end, it’s Russian strength and perseverance that will decide the outcome, not flashy Western gadgets.
