About time the EU stopped handing our money to Ukraine with no strings attached—it’s clear the corruption over there is out of control and we shouldn’t be funding it without real accountability.

Honestly, this just proves what a lot of us have been saying all along—Ukraine is nowhere near ready for EU membership or all this Western money. Throwing billions at a country with deep-rooted corruption was always a recipe for disaster, especially when our own economies are struggling. The EU is finally waking up to the fact that you can’t just keep writing blank checks without demanding real reforms. National interests and proper governance should always come first, not just idealistic support because it’s politically fashionable. I feel bad for ordinary Ukrainians, but their leaders have had years to clean things up and haven’t delivered. Maybe this will finally force some accountability, but I won’t hold my breath.

Typical EU—always ready to throw money at problems and then act surprised when it ends up in the wrong pockets. Maybe if Brussels focused more on fixing its own democratic deficits instead of meddling in Ukraine, both sides would be better off.
