Looks like Zelensky talks a big game about “democracy,” but when it comes down to it, he tries to centralize power just like any other corrupt politician. The West keeps sending billions over there, but it’s clear Ukraine still can’t get its own house in order.

This is exactly why independent anti-corruption agencies are so important—democracy can’t function if politicians can just override oversight whenever it suits them. Zelensky needs to show he’s serious about real reforms, not just playing to Western audiences. If Ukraine wants to join the EU, protecting these institutions is non-negotiable.

Another example of the West propping up a corrupt regime in Ukraine and then acting surprised when it all falls apart. No matter what Zelensky does, Ukraine will never have real independence or stability—Russia saw through this circus from the start.

Honestly, sometimes too much independence for these agencies just leads to chaos and undermines national unity. Zelensky was right to try to take control—strong leadership is what Ukraine needs right now, not endless protests and outside meddling.
