Honestly, stories like this just make me sad. I get why Ukraine feels it has to ramp up drone production, but I wish there was anywhere near as much energy and investment going into peace talks as there is into weapons. The more both sides innovate and escalate, the further away we get from ending the violence. Imagine what could be accomplished if those billions went into rebuilding, diplomacy, or humanitarian aid instead. War should never be normalized or made high-tech—it just keeps the cycle going.

It’s wild how war profiteering is so openly celebrated now, with Ukraine being groomed as the next big drone arms dealer thanks to billions from the US. This kind of military-industrial partnership just fuels more violence and keeps both countries locked into a cycle of dependency and escalation. Instead of putting all these resources into weapons, imagine what could be done for actual human needs—education, healthcare, rebuilding infrastructure. The US isn’t helping Ukraine out of selfless solidarity; it’s about maintaining its global power and squeezing profit from conflict. This whole situation just shows how imperial interests drive wars and keep ordinary people paying the price.
