This is exactly why so many conservatives are skeptical about pouring endless support and money into Ukraine. If their own leadership is rolling back anti-corruption reforms, it raises serious questions about where our aid is actually going. Zelensky caving to protests and EU pressure only after getting caught doesn't inspire much confidence. Ukraine needs to clean up its act if it wants to be part of the West—no more blank checks.

It’s good to see Ukrainians pushing back when their leaders try to undermine anti-corruption efforts—accountability has to go both ways, even during a war. Zelensky did the right thing by reversing course, but this just shows how closely the EU and the public are watching every move.

Honestly, I’m really glad to see Ukrainians speaking out and demanding real accountability from their government. Anti-corruption reforms are absolutely essential if Ukraine wants to join the EU and strengthen its democracy. It’s pretty disappointing that Zelensky even considered rolling back those protections in the first place, especially given everything his country is fighting for right now.
